Willie,I still sing it nearly every week at a little Cafe where I've been doing a Sunday Brunch gig for nearly five years...It's one of those songs that I can sing while asleep, or hung over & I still choke up about half the time before the song's over...Midnite

"The Legend of the USS Titanic"By: Jamie BrockettFrom the late 60's, used to listen to it on an AM stations (if you don't know what AM is ask someone older than you)
It's hard to make a comeback when you haven't been anywhere

Glad you were able to hear it Willie....I'll leave it up for a coupla days in case anyone else wants to work up a sweet tear or two...I was actually living in Chicago when Steve died & was at the Tribute Concert the following February...When Michael Smith sang The Dutchman, 1,500 in the audience sang along with him....Not a dry eye in the house, both from the song, & the sadness of the evening....If you ever get hold of the Steve Goodman Tribute album, mine is the one voice out of 1,500 that you can hear singing off key...:-)Midnite
