Hey Les, thanks so much - I'm gonna pitch it as is, why not,eh?
I think you're right though, it really deserves a full orchestration and later it could be pitched for something more developed.
And - even though the piece is "really getting on my nerves" just about now, ha ha
after I think 6 re-mixes, I think it's as good as it's gonna get tonight.

I am so grateful for all your and others' wonderful feed back and really brilliant suggestions.
I try to soak up as much knowledge as possible and this is a great place to do that.

Hopefully even if a return, I'll get some key points from the screener to modify it for the next similar pitch.

Nice piece Diane - I actually was thinking it was too emotional before I actually got off my ass and had a listen to the 3 reference tracks - in that context it fits well. Bit of tension and emotion. My ears were asking for introduction of some strings in a higher register in the later part of the piece when it picks up. But maybe that's too predictable.

The ref tracks seem quite eclectic - the Blair Witch one is more along the lines of those creaky, less musical types of score in the modern horror flicks and yet the other tracks are totally different, more Hollywood grandiose sounding perhaps...I guess there's room for manoevre.

Anyways, that rambling aside - nice piece!

Hey Gareth, thanks for great comments. I couldn't access 2 of those ref tracks so I was kind of flying blind - good to know
there was a wide range in them and what they were about.

Appreciate your time very much my friend :)
