You're not alone. A number of us were bumped from the same submission for similar reasons.

myself, I thought it a very well done submission. another posting with a quality above my abilities. having had my share of screener rejections, I remind myself that these people intersect with us at one in time. Sometimes, the time is out of synch. I would have forwarded this.

I'm not that familiar with the alas, but this song was really great!
Sounds like there were many returns on this listing, but this song sounds like a winner!

Bassman....After a listen , I thought it was great ...but I'm not the guy with the project....could be there was an element to it that wouldn't match what they had in mind....It's going to be perfect for somebody ...because it's that good...(My best guess)

Dave....Oh You Kidder!..........

First of all thanks for the kind comments I really appreciate it.

Stans link was interesting but I can't say I am any wiser. The screener didn't tick the "off target" box so I assume it was on target.

If there is a tangible lesson to be learned here I am open to it.

P.s in case the above post comes across as a bit snappy. Not meant as such, just like to get my point across clearly.

No problem.
The lessons, which are NOT very tangible, are (for me) ...
- I don't know what additional background info the screener may have as criteria.
- The process is VERY subjective.

Maybe the screeners have additional info such as: "must be hard hitting agressive tracks yet sublimely quiet and ambiant" or "Must be happy yet undeniably sad with a touch of green". ;)

On a serious note, I guess there's some logic to it somewhere or maybe it is just highly subjective.
