It's called Seafoam Summer (alt ending)
The only problem with the ending now is that it sounds like it ends in a different key than the root of the song which would cause a problem with the editor.

Man, thanks so much for catching that for me! And after Casey put up that thread about button endings and always ending in the same key as the song, and I just blew past the rule

So, I did another ending.....went back to the little neck grabbing and twisting
embelishment at the intro, what do you think? Do I need to let it ring a little longer?
The new mix is up with the same (alt ending) title.
Also, thanks for the tip on the SFX...memory banks are trying to burn it into ROM as I write

I like it and its a good pitch. you can never quite tell with these surf things IMO. people hear it different ways.

seems like its a little hot on some part of the mix. my monitors are crackling slightly and that only usually happens when certain frequencies are either really popping out, or the mix is over limited. Its most noticeable in 0:34 - 0:60.

If you are using an amp sim on your melody guitar you might check to see that the output of the sim isn't driving the track into the red. kinda sounds like that. authentic lo-fi

I think you could let it ring a little longer. Right now the last chord sounds like someone grabbed the master fader and pulled it quick.

You know, it seems to me that I spend a LOT of time on mixing the ending of my cues. That and the intros. Trying to get them to sound natural... and with good SNR. I can sometimes spend a whole 30 minutes mixing just that last measure and ring-out. Sometimes I wonder if I'm too picky on those parts.

Probably shouldn't have to tell you this, but make sure you are updating the MP3 on the exact one you selected when you submitted... would suck to have them listen to one that is a previous version.

Thanks Andy for catching that! I was hitting the limiter on the guitar track pretty hard, so I backed that down. New mix is up, so if you'll check it again for me, that would be great. I probably didn't get all of it, but I tried hard

I redid the fader automation and slowed it down a bit, it rings a little longer now I think?
Thanks for reminding me to pay attention when I swap the files....I can use

the playing and arrangements are both really good!

the tones/verbs are pretty good, but sound a little sampled.

if there is any way you can make them sound like a real blackface fender, then your cool playing will sound more period-correct.

Sounds like a new sitcom... Great feel! Right era! Now, to be the only A-hole in the room... ahem... TO ME!!! I hope Casey doesn't mind me saying, but I heard a very successful surf song he did a while back. Nailed it. I think the secret to a LOT of this stuff is keeping the song consistent throughout. One mood. It can vary in the WAY it delievers that mood, but the mood can't change. Please someone, correct me if I'm wrong!! To me, that one lick, with the flat 5 or whatever it is, changes the feel. Catches the listener's attention, which after almost 3 years at taxi

I'm learning, may not be good.

Three largely returned years, mind you. So I'm pretty sure I'm wrong...again...

Still, very cool. Love that stuff!!

Amp sims all I got, except for a Marshall 1/2 stack and a old Peavey Classic.
And with my living quarters situation, can only use them every now and then.
I'll have to hope for the best I guess.
Andy already, thankfully, hinted to me to not get too exicited, the chances are slim. Too bad he's not talking about my gut, that I could use.
