I believe drugs and alcohol, food, sleep, no sleep, exercise etc. also have an impact. If you look at a non musical example like speech this is easily proven. (If you've ever raised a teenager you know what I mean).

The vocal is pretty mediocre and has some little pitch issues more related to being tentative, I think. The piano sounds terrible; if they wanted a retro vibe, they should have use a spinet sample; that would have been cool but Rhodes would have been far better than acoustic for retro.

I just got around to googling Andy Abraham. To me this sounds like what he's comfortable with. I think his voice sounds really good on this-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P2mR7JguzK4

this does not sound like something matt nathanson or howie day would sing.. being a fan and cosumer of both of them..they're also songwriters and could write this song themselves

I never thought I was in tune when I was high (probably because i wasn't, but nobody else was either!).I still have one and use it now and then for tuning my piano.

its a dope song. He's definitely on key. He uses a lot of vibrato when he sings. But he's on key for sure. Im my opinion the production is a bit dated but it scares me that the same person that critiqued that song may critique one of mine.

Euromantix: You gotta step away from the track dude, yeah everyone who's attached to a song will think it's the absolute dogs bollocks! Don't count what people have said, rather take the (what you term negative) comments and try and learn and take in what they're saying. No-ONE and I mean NO-ONE here is trying to bring you down or say that this song ain't worth the time, rather they are trying to help you take it or send it in the right direction. If it ain't right, it ain't right... get on with it. Learn and grow from this because a lot of people spend way too much dabbling on what they think is right, it ends up holding us back from moving on. Take Care and Good LuckB
