Re: Help...Cakewalk program won't open
By my count...that's two Cakewalk users that began having recent problems with XP (specific mention of Service Pack 3 in similar Taxi threads), and two Cubase users currently having XP glitches too.I have Cubase (off the 'net), and I am not upgrading from service pack 2, as everything is working for me right now (*Devin hurries to knock on wood*)If I ever get hit by a lottary ticket, I'm going to get one of those custom built monster music machines that has everything loaded...I hear they come with 10 free forwards too.

Re: Help...Cakewalk program won't open
For some reason Sonar sometimes does not shut down all the way, and when I try to launch it, nothing happens.I get this sometimes with Sonar and it's an easy fix.Right click on the task bar and open the Task Manager. Look under the processes tab for the application. Mine would be Sonar.exe, not sure what yours would be. Highlight the process and click End Process. The program should launch now.I hope this helps.

Re: Help...Cakewalk program won't open
Know this might not help this particular problem, but we've upgraded to Vista and it's been more stable.... believe it or not!!! We run Sonar 7. We actually upgraded to Vista 64bit and had to back down to Vista 32bit due to driver compatibility with older keyboards etc... We're looking to replace the older equip so that we can go back to 64bit.Good luck!!!

I put the kettle on, it didn't suit me.

Hi GuysAfter about two frustrating weeks, I finally got it working.I never got a reply from Cakewalk. I did however, find the Cakewalk forum and explained my problem.I was told by one of the responders that I should reinstall in a different folder.Bingo!...we have a winner. Now back to the music, submissions, forwards, deals and a career in music...and become a wealthy songwriter. Thank you all for your input and help.Billy
