UPDATE #2: JAZZIN' IT UP!!

Post by ibanez468 » Thu Mar 12, 2009 5:17 pm

Here's an update. Got a few more pieces of percussion in there, and an ending now. I think I took care of the hot piano in the beginning. U can use the same link. Hope that's it! Got one that I'm workin' on, thought I'd let y'all check it out and tell me what ya' think. Still have some tweakin' and additions to do, but I got the majority of it layed down. My piano may be a little too hot in the beginning. Hafta' take care of that. Got a cool little ending I thought of right after I got done fiddlin' around with this thing. On my list of things ta' do. Some of the tweaking that I was refering to had to do with a few stray notes & some timing issues. You mention sounds that need ta' be modified. Could ya' be a little more specific please? What sounds need to be modified? Thanks.ibanez468

hmmm... havin another listen... at first I thought the first sax/syn sound was intended to be replaced by real sax but... hmmm, now I'm feeling that it's cool the way it is... cos later portion U got a real sax sound in right? U know what... now I think it's perfect the way it is... my bad ^_^-Kel

Well...no. It's not a real sax. It's Mr. Sax T from Sample Modeling. It runs in a Kontakt 2 Player. But it's the closest sounding thing to a tenor sax that I've heard aside from the real thing. I probably need to work a little more on my expression & dynamics, but this is only the second time I've used it, and it sounds pretty convincing to me.Come on now...tell the truth. Either it sounds OK, or it sounds like crap. Give it to me straight! ibanez468

Hi IB... I like this a lot. Yes that sax is amazing! My only comment is that for the first part the piano sounds very separate from the rest. Perhaps move it back a tiny bit? But I'm no mixing guru!Lovely piece, with a foward in its future, I'm sure!Georgieps Sorry, just saw that you wrote the piano is a little hot - ha ha!

Hey georgina! Thanks for listenin'! Yeah, I think I took care of that beginning piano part. It's a little lower in the mix now ta' kinda balance things a little better. I'll re-post the tune later with the new ending, if anyone wants ta' hear.ibanez468
