Quote:They will put the bios and info up AFTER THE VOTING IS CLOSED. Last year the Bios, pictures and songs (without lyrics for some reason) stayed up for the whole year. In fact, they are still up right here:http://www.americanidol.com/songwriter/ ... .xhtmlCool! Not a bad resume builder for ya (as if your songs don't speak for themselves)....André

Never heard any of the entries yet or your song, I will soon thoughThis could be your big break, you've got a 1/20 chanceI'll be voting for the best song though not who I know in a chatroom and I encourage everyone else to do the sameIt'd be real cool thought if it is you pesmittyGood luck manEdit: So here are the ones I think have a chanceHere I am - Has the whole package of what Idol Is all aboutYou believed In me - Good sound and cliche lyrics (Idol loves)Overcome - Good sound, a little stronger in the lyric departmentYou may have a fair shot pesmittyWith everyones support on the AI forums this one JPF and others you are on, you have a distinct advantage over the other competitors

I listened to it again and I realized you have the "e" sound in every verse, bridge and chorusWould've been much stronger if you had different sounds, it just drags on and onI heard 2 songs that were better than this but likely won't get a shot because you have everybody on every songwriting website voting for you (mostly because THEY know you)This Is what I don't like about these competitions, people you should actually listen to the songListen to everything about it, lyrics, music, phrasing then make your decisionAnd vote fairly, if you think its the absolute best then vote highI know it must be exciting and they did pick this for the top 20Is this a song you'd wanna hear over and over being sung by the idol?I'm not jealous It's just what I'm thinking

If Perry gains an advantage over the competition by having a great song AND by stirring up some fan support (a.k.a. working hard), then his win will be even more deserved. Not to mention, that's just how the world works...talent + hard work = success.2. Take it from someone who learned this lesson the hard way long ago...always playing it "by the book" is admirable, but rarely the best option when it supercedes an opportunity to help out a friend. I'm not suggesting corruption here, but if we can give our "man" a leg up without crossing any valid ethical or legal lines, then let's do it! Especially in a case where his work is clearly worthy of a win.On the other hand, I wouldn't fault you for voting for who you think wrote the very best song...but I'm not gonna feel bad for supporting the home team! I understand andreh but I've been to a lot of the little idol forums where perry isn't plugging his song and they say overcome and no turning back are the best ones suited for the jobYou can support your man all you want but in the end It has to sell recordsThis is my now last year was the worst idol song in its history and it didn't sell her cdsIt's good for the struggling songwriter but it doesn't get the artist anywhere, and the point of this contest is to find a standout song for the winner, isn't it, from an ubiased point of view I don't see this song helping the winner

I would like to chime in here on this one.....Perry made the top twenty.....QUIT HATING....It's a milestone achievement and everyone in here who is trying to take away from "HIS MOMENT" need to really look inward....What is your motivation for tearing down his tune???? Jealousy, envy, hatred, UPSET cause your tune didn't get picked....or just hating where you are musically at this point in life???Possibly all of the aboveAND YES MARKETING IS ACCEPTABLE IN MUSIC.....If it were you or I whose song got picked would we NOT be telling everyone we know who owns a computer to vote for your tune??? Be realistic people and let Perry enjoy this.............
