One thing this thread shows is how tolerant we all are .......We would never mock someone else's believes if they differ from ours...we love diversity of opinion, and will hear and discuss such differences with courtesy and understanding....Never reverting to mockery....After all we're tolerant, open minded and just all round good guys.....On second thoughts...NAHHH!!!! We're just a bunch of wankers.......Why have any pretense of anything else? We certainly see our true colors here......Derek

Quite frankly when someone starts wishing me and my fellow Americans horrid fates of disease pestulance, famine, floods, and other fun stuff so as they can fufill some kind of twisted bet they make with themselves based as much on political ideology as religion.. At that point wanker goes out the window.. At that point all is fair and 'game is on'.I am SO glad the Canadian folks I deal with daily are not represented as a majoity with this kind of thinking.. I love my brothers and sisters up north, and south.. great continent all the way around!

This thread is a bad apple, and you know what the Jackson 5 said about those. Again, this thread no longer belongs in the peer-to-peer forum.

This stuff happens every now and then on this forum.....Things get misread...someone gets their panties in a twist and away we go............Be interesting to see where she is WISHING destruction on the US.....I see where she says that this will happen if such and such but nowhere do I see her actually wishing or wanting this to happen......Maybe I'm the only wanker here......This whole thing turned ugly pretty quick.....reminds me of the election discussions...seemed that no one was really reading the emails then either...........Derek

I personally don't think that one's beliefs are sacrosanct; in fact we should regularly be attempting to challenge our own beliefs, let alone worrying about others doing it for us. But when one actively chooses to post them up on a public forum, then they're definitely not beyond reproach... and more than that, when one's beliefs superstitiously predict harm to others (which is, again, quite a nasty thing to hear about your country), then mockery is actually a natural and fitting response, and surely better than outright aggression. That's not to say we're not a bunch of wankers for other reasons though.tt

Hi All,At times this thread had some great feedback from other peers, but it seemsit's strayed off course a little here. Please note that in "The Rules"section of this forum, it clearly states:Amendments and Additions:1. Absolutely NO Political debates on these forums.(We may have to add Religion in there as well due to threads like these).Although it may seem that it's already past the point of no return, we willleave this thread open for now, but we reserve the right to close this threadif any more postings about beliefs on politics or religion should arise. Please keep focus on the original discussion, which is feedback/opinions onthe song.Thank you for understanding this touchy topic/situation. ~David
