And what's your reason?
Hijacking my topic when I asked for advice?
Don't you have a topic for your own song?
Are you playing hide and seek?

Hey Tim
Thanks and I am glad you like it...We studied the structure of 50's songs, chords, melodies, made sure the lyrics appropriate to the era, played live guitars, bass , used a kit from Addictive Drums 2 that was based a similar setup to what they would have had.
Then I managed to get hold of a talented singer via a friend of a friend who does rock n roll shows as his full time gig and he sang it for us for a split on any future royalties etc.
After that I listened carefully to mixes of songs like Johnny B Goode ..how loud things were in the mix etc. Remember they were not multi tracking so it was all about mic distances and capturing a whole performance.
Then I use some EQ matching in Fabfilter Pro Q2 to match the overall frequency response.
Now the reason I asked the OP to listen first is for full disclosure..this was for a very similar listing , at least one of the ref tracks was the same song...but back in August 2017.
It was returned..I don't recall the reason..but I just wanted to show where the bar was because I think this was pretty close and it still never made it past the screener.

Nope, the reason was I was about to say your track was way off base but I wanted you to know that I wasn't just saying it having never attempted it myself. See above post to Tim.HowlingUlf wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2019 2:25 pmAnd what's your reason?

So first the reasons why I don't think yours works.
1. Drums..straight off they sound very midi and programmed..not played..although ours were not real either they need to be programmed like a real drummer
2. Vocals..they sound don't too good at all to me . They sound really pitchy and a bit all over the place. I would get someone else to sing them
3. Lyrics - I like the concept but not so sure about the execution
4. “I need uplifting songs with plenty of dynamics and Infectious Riffs!" ..I don't hear that, the overall song is a bit on the slow side..it drags rather than bounces along
Hope that helps

Yeah cheers ! Was a bit of a kick in the teeth at the time but I'm over it now. Had some decent placements with my Future Bass lol
Thought it was worth showing HowlingUlf how high the bar is.
