Mama said "take your time" But how much time does she think I've got ?Before my senses start to slow down And my hair begins to fall out In "I Don't Need Nobody Else" I was "answering" to the old Smokey Robinson tune, "Shop Around", saying I think I found "the one"... This verse was supposed to be funny, but I don't think anyone heard it that way... Casey

From "West Texas Cow"Bessie's moo sounded smooth as silkShe was the queen of west Texas cowsBut I knew she gave the kind of milkThat the dairy board just never allowsI fed her fine and I powdered her noseBut at milking time she'd always bilkWest Texas is dry, that's why I supposeThat west Texas cow gave powered milkhttp://www.pic-a-pagediscounts.com/Real_Country_Lyrics3.html

Here's a few lines that think are just stellar:there's two fools on this earththey just put one in the dirt-it's been a yearsince i fell for those eyes-our first night togetherhas come and gone-i drove down the highwayi saw your face in the road-all her friends are into rapshe like Chicago blues-this photograph takes me backhow quickly time past-ooops! I got carried away. Good topic......................peace!

Clocks are stuck and fluctuatingMelting like a Dali paintingCannot find a clock that won't stickEach one mocks me, tick tick tick tickTicking slowly every secondOnly felons have time to reckonMoments all accumulatingI'm fixating, waiting to see you(from the song Analemma)

Hi, Nomiyah. One of my posts in "Lyric Lovers", "This Old Home", is about the first house we lived in after we got married. My fav's in that song are " These old floors complain when I rack my sleepless brain" and " I close my eyes and feel Him in the breeze". Probably one of my favorite songs, 'cause it describes the personality of the house over and above it's problems.Walter327

I like the image "these old floors complain". Describes a lot with a few words.
