Re: Big Hello!
So it appears that bc and Walton are the only ones making money from Taxi but they still can't come up with actual figures? And they seem very professional and nice. But the others seem like rank amateurs. It shows. Crass and rude. Is this what people turn into when they can't make it with Taxi? The big mouth wanna be's have a lot of gall. Sounds like they should keep quite until they prove themselves. Nothing worse than the amateurs spouting off. Thanks again to bc and Walton for your help. I have decided to leave this board. It's not very professional. Bye.

I have decided to leave this board. It's not very professional. Bye.Have you taken charm lessons from JohnnyDean?Shoo....shoooo ! (as a wave my tree branch at you)."Keep quite quiet till they prove themselves" what do you want from the people on here? For everyone to publish their yearly income reports on the net for your gratification....and what equals success for you? Making a bucket of money like David Hasslehoff in the German charts...is that your idea of success?Everyone has their own personal goals in life. Many of the people one this board have probably make big in-roads on achieving their personal goals; what you've got to try to undestand is that for these people making a big bundle of cash may not be that goal. Cash does not equal success. If that equation were true then the bands like the Velvet Underground were a failure whilst Britney Shears is the Queen of the world. It depends on your personal aims versus others.Basically Unclecharlie (May I call you Charlie..sniff) you just come across as an antagonistic bully who wants nothing more than to start a written fight with people you don't know; using a message board to protect you from getting your nose broken.Look at what you're writing then ask yourself why people are resonding to you in this way. Don't be so quick to judge others before taking a good look at yourself in the mirror.

Re: Big Hello!
Wow...and there I was gonna give him the benefit of the doubt after his abrasive first post, and chime in with my own success story and other helpful information...Turns out my first instinct was correct, he's just another dumb troll...where do these people keep coming from? "Unclecharlie": there are plenty of people making "decent" money thanks to TAXI, myself included. We tend to be quite accommodating as far as sharing information about what is possible...with considerate, polite members of this community, that is. But with rude trolls? Not so much...It would be utterly pointless anyway, it's not like you're ever gonna get ANYWHERE in this business with an attitude like this...Normally I'd say "good luck", but in this case "good riddance" seems more appropriate... matto

I have decided to leave this board. It's not very professional. Bye.Actually, if you'd read and listened, you would have discovered that Matt, Dave, Aud, Andre and many more are making money from their music. How much they are making is - if you read Dave's post about it - all over the place. As Dave said in his post of yesterday... he had a Taxi forward 2-1/2 years ago, the song was in a show months ago, and he still hasn't received the money for it. If you'd read Matt's posts, you would have begun to understand that there is no steady income in the beginning and the amount that you get from one deal varies so much it's very hard to say "how much can you make". You grow your cataloque and your placements until you are getting enough cheques in the mail from all those different sources to maybe pay your rent.As for rudeness, you came on the board, called us a bunch of wanna-be's and then are surprised when people get a little miffed by that. Try that anywhere and see how friendly people are. Finally, I would like to add that the members of this forum are not necessarily members of Taxi. They are disgruntled past members, skeptical prospective members, frustrated new members, gritty long-term relationship members, and relatively sanguine members. As for professional - I've been professional all my life, and it has nothing to do with how much money I make doing it. A true professional respects everyone, including the stage hands, make-up artists, and front of house. However talented they are, they know that the show wouldn't go on without the helping hands of many others. I've met internationally known opera singers who are sweet and kind and thoughtful, and chorus members who would just as soon rip you to threads. Perhaps, unclecharlie, you are just a member of the chorus in the wanna-be stakes, eh? After all, you didn't post a link to your music or give your real name. Can't be a star if we don't know who you are. See ya,Hummin'bird
