On the Mac, you basically just click a checkbox to turn on the FTP server function. My Mac is directly connected, so any file that has sharing turned on can be grabbed.

I use Box.net for FTPing large files between collaborators, and Fetch on the Mac on occasion. Both work well and are pretty user friendly. Suz

hey johnI use filezilla from mozilla - it's free and has all the basic features a ftp client needs.for me the advantage of ftp vs. yousentit is that you can keep the files on your ftp as long as you want, have all projects in one place - it's basically the same to navigate like in the explorer of your computer.cheersmartin

I use Filezilla too on a Mac... it seems very user friendly so far...K
