At least Paula was easy on the eyes!

I haven't been watching all of it, just catching bits here and there. I caught Hayley's "Call Me" and I thought it sucked big time. I never understood what was so great about Paul so I think it's good that he got voted off the island.

And Steve Tyler is freakin' worthless as a judge.

I agree with you about Haley's song,on the suckiness scale it scored an 11+ but that's not a true reflection of her ability and as for Paul,I didn't even know his name,I just knew I didn't like him! :D

:D

I thought it was interesting that three of the acts went against the producer's wishes.

This is what Simon's up to at the moment.

Call Me wasn't too great but i LOVED the duet she and Casey did on elimination night, i thought they both completely rocked it.

as for Paul, i guess i fit in with the soccer mom demographic (although i'm most certainly not one, for the record!) - i totally dug him!!! see my argument is while a boy like Stefano has a wonderful voice, Paul has tons of character and a strong persona. i would say he knows who he is an artist, and the genre he fits into doesn't require killer vocal chops. i know i'm the minority on this one, but i thought he was cool!

PS also on elimination night - i thought the James Aldean/Kelly Clarkson duet was great.

Well you guys know the results now,I won't get them till tomorrow night,(Friday)

Anyway's

I loved Jacob,s Dance With My Father,I was almost in tears at the end of it,the panel didn't seem to like it and my missus said,"didn't think much of that".

I think Haley struggled with Adele's Rolling In The Deep but I hope she stays in.

Stefano was good.

Scotty may be about to ride off in to the sunset unless he's careful.

I liked Casey at first but I am not too keen on him now,I think the American audience must be looking for and seeing something I can't.

The only thing I can remember about the other girl singer was the size of her boots,it looked like she had those massive clown shoes on!!!! :D :D :D :D

Oh yeah the guy who done the Muse song,Uprising that's one of my all time favourite tracks,I thought the hook in the upper octave was eeerrrrrrrmmmm interesting!

One thing about the competition is there are very different types of contestants. There are some pure singers like Pia, Haley, and Jacob. And then there are some stage performer types like Casey and James Durbin.

I watched most of the show last night. I thought Jacob was weak and didn't have the power in his voice I had seen before. I also didn't think the country singer chick was anywhere near as good as the judges did. Jacob is a great singer. It's possible he's worn out from the whole thing. These kids have to be completely exhausted.

James and Casey stole the show with their stage performances. I think it's between the two of them.

Paul McDonald is bumped, and as punishment he gets to do a tune with the five ladies preceding him out the door? It's as if you were thrown into the infernal regions, and woke up the next morning with angels with all sorts of earth-bound virtues.

It's a little difficult to see American Idol from Kazakhstan, the Slingbox does not always work & the live timing feed may mean it comes on in the wee hours of the morning here.

My mother who lives in Bakersfield, CA watches it. Way back in the fourth season of American Idol she called me and said I had a second cousin on there who was a finalist, but she didn't remember her name. That night I watched it and heard several of the finalists. I called my mom the next day and said, the one that I was most impressed with was a pretty blond girl named Carrie. My mother said, yes, I found out her name now, that's your cousin, Carrie Underwood. You know the rest :))

Exceptional talent can often shine through and I am glad to see that Daughtry and others who did not "win", still "made it" in the business anyway. I am not sure that "winning" and "losing" are good definitions to use for music anyway. Afterall, it's not a basketball game.

I think its awesome thats its no more a voice contest, I think Casy or James Durbin should win, they are the best.
