But for now, it's not on my list (I wish though) ;)
For what it's worth - I made many connections and worked with other TAXI folks I encountered on these Forums, and TAXI TV - long before I met them in person.
You need NOT wait to attend a rally before having made successful connections right here. Cyberspace is an amazing tool.
I've swapped music files with TAXI folks in Australia, Scotland, UK, Canada, Nashville, Texas, Arizona... Florida, Idaho...you know -
ALL them foreign countries!! :?

I do not have home recording gear or skills - therefore, WFH and collaborating with others is my only choice right now.
If you've got Dropbox, or something like it... well, you know.

Yes of course ! ;) I hear you !
Collaborations are a great thing (I mean, I played in bands for 15 years in a previous life.. no internet at this moment..).

I'll think about it, you never know ;)

I just listened to it Phil. My impression was quite positive. I like that subtle basic groove against the acoustic guitar hook at about 1:00! Nice work man.

Good luck on the listing.

I like where it goes, Phil.

There's some kind of volume drop in the lead vocal from around 25-30sec.
Maybe you need to compress the lead vox a bit more to bring up the quiet parts?

The horn stabs may need a little volume dip.
Imo, you dont need the synth coming in at the end, as that changes the overall acoustic vibe (style confusion occurs)
I would also bring down the double or harmony vocal a little. The ad lib vocal later sounds great, though.

Good luck with it.

Hey Phil,

I think it's vastly improved from the 1st version I heard. Good luck with it.

Hi Phil,

Really nice.
The main thing that strikes me is the lack of bass. Although you could hold off with it until the first chorus - which is currently lacking, it's almost disappointing once it arrives.
I think the second verse needs something else to come in to set it apart.
The vocal gets a little lost sometimes, maybe double-track, EQ, etc.

A really nice cover. I don't think you're too far off.
