I think there's a lot more demand for instrumentals than any other kind of music right now. You a hottie, dude! And of course they pay more for vocals. Quality costs. Heh.

I heard Matto and Mazz were putting the finishing touches on "VV 2008" *.Then we'll all be on an even playing surface! MWAHAHAHAHA!!!!* "VV 2008" = "Virtual Vocalist". It has 500 GByte samples of Hummingbird & Squids pre-loaded. You get basic vocals with the bundle, but you need to pay for an upgrade to get the ultra-realistic humour and compassion algorithyms.Personally, I doubt it will be as good as the real thing...but I've been wrong before!
Earplugs may be required for anyone over the age of cool.

It's already done except not using H'bird or Squids vox... you guessed it, I think Yamaha have brought out a couple of virtual singers... called Vocaloid or sumin like that, I think there are 4 at the moment1) Opera Singer (female)2) Soul Singer (male)3) Soul Singer (female)4) General Singer (female)I think you can find it on the EastWest website...P.s. Musicians Rock....PERIOD!!!

Those Vocaloids sound exactly like what you'd expect from something ending in "oid". Like a science experiment gone horribly wrong .They've gotten better since version 1, but it's still a far cry from Commander Data's exquisit violin playing...

I'm sure there's something in the works for expansion packs as well. 5 Gbytes of new Hummingbird & Squids articulations. Loaded with tons of possible vocal combinations. Comes with an awesome FX plug-in designed especially to enhance the wonderful voicings of the 'Bird & the Squids. Sounds nice, huh ladies?I-468
