I like the stretch but probably not held as long. The chorus comes in using the guitar stab chords to differentiate it a bit. It might work. Some songs use the same chords for verse and chorus and get away with techniques like that. I'm thinking you might want to do something to the chorus to make it stand out more.Very nice!! CaseyHey Casey, this song has a lot to do with your Chorus Differentiation thread...I wanted to see if I could make it work. Seems to depend on the riff...I actually sort of like how the chorus morphs into verse...we're very aware of when it kicks in, but not so sure when it ends. I think if I do a good enough job differentiating my MIX, it just might be enough to differentiate the chorus. Fingers crossed.I understand what you mean on the pre-chorus (uggh, I hate that word, pre-chorus)...I might try it holding onto the low notes of the word "right". Right now it sounds too much like "everything was right" from "She Said She Said"... Thanks Casey!-Mark

Hmmmm...........interesting........I've listened to this song on another site. Thrown my 2 cents in, and basically, all i have to say is, that after quite a few listens, the song has legs. Why ?Simple melody, catchy lyrics, and a straddle from the old to the new with a bit of freshness.Good to see that a song such as this, has such a response. Good luck with it mark. Work it up, and you'll find surprising results.cheers, niteshift

Imagine...what it would've sounded like if he had been tripping with Henry Fonda...?

Thanks Jay! Catchy and bright is what I was after. Now for the hard part...getting a good drum part...my Achilles heel...

Hey Mark.... I agree... this mix is better! Though, you might wanna boost up the bg vocals in the bridge (and maybe just a nudge up overall) -- seemed a little too far back. The layering felt better too!! And, maybe it's just my setup, but the short 4 note doubled electric leading into the chorus seemed too hot...It's little stuff... but you're definitely on the right track with this mix!
