Hey Ashley, I think you've really found that Phillip Glass sound. Very beautiful composition and use of dynamics. Your harmonic structure is very typical of Glass' work. Nicely done. I hope this is what they're looking for when they say "minimalist". Excellent piano sound, also. Is this a sampled piano? It sounds too real. If it is, which one are you using?Best,Steve

I'm still learning about this genre, but I'm wondering if it's a bit too complex to be minimalist?Personally, I don't know, but would like to hear more feedback on it.H

One of the most realistic in the elec piano range i think.I've never done minimalist music before and i went onto Itunes to hear clips of 'Glass' work and also looked up on goggle exactly what it was. I have basically tried to start off as simple as possible and layer as i go on using dynamics to add to the emotion. Then simplifying it again for the end.I'm not too sure if they want it to sound simpler but listening to 'glass' and the others, their stuff sounds pretty busy as the song goes on and not overly simple at all... tricky one!Would love more feedback. Thanks again ;o)Ashley

Piano isn't my main instrument, so I figured this might be a good starting point....the thing that I keep looking at, for this listing, is where it says "VERY SPARE PIANO ARRANGEMENTS"....just how spare, is spare?Harry

Another question...does the piano need to sound like a real acoustic piano, or do other types work as well, ie. electric/fender rhodes etc?H

Thanks!! http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... ream=1I've spent most of this week listening to Philip Glass and Michael Nyman to get my arms around this listing. Ashley, it sounds like you have nailed this one! I'm working on some pieces for this listing but I tend to drift off into the land of new age, ala George Winston. These threads have been helpful to sort it all out.
