Today's ONOFFON SSP of the Day comes from a publishing editor with a company once owned by Disney - ONOFFON - Surrender NowReviewed by Dai Nguyen"I think 'The Gift Must Always Move' is the star of this CD. I love the way it soars towards the end, but ends on a soft note. 'Remember Only...' is very unique. I listened to it three times to get the flavor of the music. It starts out like new age, mystical, conjuring up the stars and heaven. The vocal section that followed is more earthy, bluesy and jazzy with a touch of soft rock. I can't pinpoint it - but I like it!"Our thanks to Dai for her imagistic views of our music...

The ONOFFON SSP of the Day is one I found while doing one of my search engine sweeps for 'onoffon' - it seems someone chose our band for their 'Song of the Week' on their web journal back on September 11, 2004 -Keld Bach's Web Journalhttp://multigraphic.dk/lounge/weblog/weblog.php?id=P1338We certainly thank Keld Bach for including us in his personal weblog archives and I am extremely honored that he chose such a solemn and hallowed day as September 11th...

ONOFFON's SSP of the Day is a two part SSP - first, a listener sent me a message through our page at GarageBand.com - and then, the lead they turned me onto -GB Message -"hi Von -Came across your stuff and thought I'd drop you a line to say how very much I enjoyed it. I checked out your website, too, and I must say I was impressed at the list of sites featuring your music. I'll drop by Soundclick later and vote for you.Have you come across Radio 6 International? They have a bias towards instrumental music, and are great supporters of independent artists. It's the usual royalty-free deal, unfortunately, but people do listen, and they have a dedicated jazz show hosted by Paul Sawtell. You can catch them at http://www.radiosix.com/ . Email them, sometimes they take a while to reply but they are good people, and I'm sure they'd be as impressed with your tracks as I am. - Woody"So, I took their advice and sent a link to Radio 6 International - they replied to me in exactly one hour and one minute - this is what they said -"ONOFFONThanks for this - we'll play some tracks for sure. Probably we will playlist one of them next week, since we have a playlist policy of 40% instrumentals.Best regards,TONY CURRIEProgramme Directorradio six international"Thanks to Woody for the kind words and tip to Radio 6 and thanks also to Tony Currie for adding us to their playlists so quickly...

Today's ONOFFON SSP of the Day is from a website that featured poetry and photography - I submitted the lyrics I wrote to our song, "Inside My Soul" - a song that has been included in six different comp CDs dedicated to the tragedy of 9/11 - this is what he wrote to me -"Greetings, Von. This is Sparechange, creator of the Sparechange Post, the website you submitted that great poem to. You have some real talent!I just wanted you to know that I published that poem and it is now available for the public to see. I want to thank you for submitting that - its exactly what I needed to start off my website, and its exactly what I wanted - something that shows feeling and thought. So, thank you. And, just curious, what is OnOffOn?-Sparechange (DanL)"Unfortunately, Sparechange Post is no longer online but I still thank DanL for including us in his collection of works...

The ONOFFON SSP of the Day comes from BMI....The results are in - all the members of ONOFFON have received their most recent BMI royalty checks and over the last six months we have earned a total of $4,311.99!Most coming from the FOX Sports useage of our song, "Mardi Gras", which has aired 355 times on FOX Sports and ComCast Sports in that period. While I would love to be attributing this nominal success to our association with TAXI, I cannot. This comes as a direct result of me, working my proverbial butt off, and my extreme good fortune in joining with such a talented group of musicians as my bandmates in ONOFFON...Who knows what tomorrow may bring...

ONOFFON's SSP of the Day is a new link that has appeared in most every search engine I've tried when searching for 'onoffon' -LAUNCH - Music on YAHOO!Onoffon on LAUNCHhttp://launch.yahoo.com/artist/default.asp?artistID=1111843It's just a page that lists our two CDs and not much more but it's a top link on one of the most prominent search engines out there, so it is definitely a good thing... if some's good, more's better...
