Hey Lydia,Sounds like an amazing project. I bet it was extremely fulfilling. Good luck with everything. I hope the movie wins and your music gains some recognition too.

I had never worked on anything of this size before and it turned out to be a great experience. It would be really nice if the movie would win. They also submitted the music to be considered for "Best original film score" and we haven't heard the final selections for those nominations yet - but I re-read the rules and I think it will be disqualified. It says to submit the full score and I know they only sent parts since the full score is about 1.5 hours. Oh well.... Hopefully the orchestra in town ends up playing the music from the trailer. That would be an amazing experience!

Actually - I don't mind the dishes but if he would clean the floors that would be something!

Update on Pendragon...The symphony in Tulsa will perform my music Feb 13th and 14th at 8PM!!!!!!!!!!!! I just sent the score to the conductor. I am Very excited!!! He told me a couple of weeks before Christmas that he wanted to perform the music that I wrote for the original Pendragon trailer (one year ago) with the orchestra at their film music concert so I have been working on the score over the holidays. I wrote the music for midi thinking that it would never be performed live so I had quite a bit of work to do to clean up the score and make it playable. I want to give special thanks to Steve Barden who looked over the score and gave me some really good advice as I worked on this. Thank you Steve!!! I don't know at this point if the concert will be recorded but I hope so. If it is I will post it on my web site for you to listen to as soon as I have it.I have received word from the producer of Pendragon that I may post music (even though I will not be posting the drafts as I originally had hoped in order to show the differences between the first draft from the composer versus the first midi orchestration draft versus the finished mix of midi and live instruments). I have gone ahead and posted "Mourning" on my myspace page. During the first part of the music someone is found murdered and when the solo vocals enter is the funeral. I am going to post more music + a video clip or two on my web site next week. I will let you know when it is done. The film festival where the film is nominated for Best Picture is held this weekend so I will let you know how it went as soon as I know. That's all for now.
