Update - This is the weekend that the Signature Symphony in Tulsa will perform the music from the Pendragon trailer during their film music concert. I am very excited and nervous (but mostly excited). They will not record it (and will not let me record a rehearsal) so I will try Mazz's idea. Hopefully that turns out nicely...If anyone wants to come I still have 5 free tickets. I will let you know how the concert went after the weekend. ~ Lydia

Hey, all. I got to attend the concert. FANTASTIC! Great sound and performance. Lydia's "Pendragon" was near the start of the second half, and got a great round of applause. Kudos!

This weekend was very exciting. The Signature Symphony in Tulsa, OK, performed "Pendragon" during their film music concerts Feb 13th and 14th. I have had my pieces performed by high school and university orchestras several times before but this was the first time a proffessional orchestra performed one of my pieces. I found out that the pieces performed were narrowed down from over 100 to the final 19 so it was a great honor that my piece was picked. It was played while the footage from the trailer was shown on a big screen. It was full orchestra, choir and a soprano soloist. As Jonathan mentioned my piece came early on in the second half. I was very calm and peaceful until they introduced me to the audience - then the nerves hit. Both performances went really well and it was a thrilling experience. The second evening many of my friends and colleagues came which made the experience even more fun (thank you Jonathan for coming) I have made some good contacts in the music world because of this so hopefully it leads to more opportunities like this one.The one thing I would change for next time is that I was performing this concert (I play viola with the orchestra) and next time an orchestra performs one of my pieces I want to make sure that I can sit in the audience and just enjoy it. I was so busy playing my part that I never got a full picture of how it really sounded. What I heard sounded wonderful though! Unfortunately I don't have a recording to post.
