yeah if only, but crushing is only one of the many pit falls of small britlle things sensitive to heat, pressure, magnetism, surges, prone to misplacement, and so on and yadda yadda, those things are like MADE to get destroyed, I swear. you can accidently have your dongle case, set on a loud speaker, and boom, you get to go back to the store again.

At this juncture, I have forgotten the subject of the original thread.Perhaps we could start a new "I hate dongles" thread? At least, I'd know what the topic of discussion is likely to be.Ah, well. I still haven't decided about EWQLSO upgrade to "Play" version. If we simply set aside the dongle issue for the moment, I'm much more concerned with their requirement that I throw the baby (the version of EWQLSO Gold bundle that I purchased 6 months ago) out with the bathwater.Nothing is simple anymore. The future ain't what it used to be.Could this be a sign of advancing age?Naaaah.-Alan (backtalkunlimited)

The dongle's sole purpose is to authenticate the software license, this happens when the software is started for the first time, once the software has been authenticated and is loaded in memory the dongle is out of the picture so it has absolutely no effect on the performance of the software (at least that is the case with all the software I use that require the iLok key). AntonioI am talkin non i-lok generally, but there is a few exceptions there too, if you go back and read the post, as it preloads, however, its been proven that most of the others have loop back sequences, which means it has to verify before starting, which means when it starts working, it goes, wait, check for the dongle, then the dongle has to go, oh yeah, i am here, and then it says, ok guys, we can do what we where made for.which means over half of the dongles, are checked based on the operation it is performing, verse non dongled plugins, this cause time skews, which are compensated, which cause global delays, or they arent compensated and cause some tracks to be out of time, google it up, its all been benchmarked. that and I based my independent checking with and without the dongle, with no other changes, so unless the crack somehow traveled in time and lagged the before test, the proof is in the pudding.
