Seems like they were on the road to stardom, but such is the music biz! Ern You're right. They had something special going. It's one thing to have a few hits, it's another to be nominated for three Grammy awards.I was checking out some of their other stuff and I really like portions of "Don't Look Back" especially the sound and feel of the intro. Sort of a throw back style in parts of the record. http://www.mtv.com/videos/fine-young-ca ... back.jhtml

Can't believe nobody's posted this one yet. Brings back memories of eating Captain Crunch out of the box and beating up on my little brothers.

What about the instrumental "Groovin' with Mr. Blow" by Mr. Blow, about 1970.Great harmonica playing. I think it was a band of session musicians.

Oh, man, I thought of that song a week ago, and was too embarrassed to post it! Who sang that, though? He's actually a really good singer.Since we're on the bubblegum train:Those poor guitarists look like they'd like to sink into their shoes! I believe both the Ohio Express and the Music Machine were from around Cincinnati. I'm sure the MM boys would like to kick those guys butts! Ern

When I was a kid we played Talk Talk and I had a Vox Essex bass amp with a "Tone X" pedal. It was a nasty midrange boost with distrtion kind of deal and it was perfect for that bass part.
