You may all be right. I'm gonna stay with the premis that if one were to write a good song, a great song (and in my case it'd only be lyrics and a melody if i were lucky) it'll get noticed, period. If someone would ever think that Taxi.com and it's A&R's would not have know to forward any one of Toby Keiths last 20 songs simply because it was from an unknown, they'd be kinda foolish. Even more so if it were a complete song with a full 5 piece back up and a great voice (something i can't provide either by self or by expense).Keep writing for enjoyment and those that seem Great to you may only be Good to others but you gotta try. Without trying you are destined to fail as my daddy used to say.IMHODoc Haley

I loved that, that they both sing so well but are simply superb in their genre for guitar work too.And I'm sorry but they were all wearin' in-ear monitor so Miz Swift got no excuse.....she could hear jes fine. Not so fast; I've heard perfectly egregious performances by folks I know darn well can sing on key at awards shows. They use massive digital consoles capable of amazingly complex signal routing at these things and it's typical of such bleeding edge technology in a live high-pressure situation, do I really have to finish this sentence?A few months ago I saw George Strait pull his ear monitor out at an awards show; I'll bet he had the wrong monitor mix. That said, judging by the amount of Autotune on her recordings, I'm betting Ms. Swift came down with a case of "can't sing".
