TAXIBOSS Thanks You

Post by jay10music » Mon Nov 09, 2009 7:03 am

Dear guys, gals, dits and dots,My head is spinning too much to write anything long or coherent, but to all who came, THANK you! It's always great to see old friends and to make new ones. I've never been able to describe the Rally vibe well enough to make somebody who wasn't there "feel" it as if they were.If anybody is awake enough to take a shot at it, this is the place I'm glad I had time to hang with many of you at the front and back ends of the Rally. Wonderful!!Michael

Michael,I'm sitting here at lax typing on my iPhone so I'll keep this post short. All I can say is how honored and humbled I felt to be included in the rally this year with the wonderful award and being able to share with my fellow members both in the classes and during the all important "hang". You are truly an inspiration, someone who truly cares, and your staff and the quality of the rally reflects that big time. I'm so pleased to be a taxi member and so glad to be able to associate with you and my fellow members on this incredible journey to success. Love and blessings, mazz

This was my 9th Rally in a row, and I thought it was the most amazing one EVER!! Although my liver is a little ticked off at me at the moment. lol! Unless you're there, you can't really put into words the "warm fuzzy feeling" that the Rally gives you. Aside from the knowledge, opportunities, and contacts that abound, you also make new lifelong friends!! And things like the open mic nights, impromptu jam sessions at 2AM all over the hotel, partying on the roof with fellow musicians into the wee hours, etc, etc....you just have to experience it all firsthand to know how amazing it truly is. I drove back to Hollywood last night and have been in a funk ever since. Okay, well that's partly due to the 3 hours of sleep I got each night but also "Rally withdrawals" -- which I'm sure is setting in on everyone now. To be on such a "high" for 4 days, and now alas -- it's over...way too quickly. By my count, it's about 360 days 'til the next one. I can't wait! Well, let me detox a bit and get some rest first. Haha. Thanks so much Michael! Just think what lost puppies we would all be right now if you had never started TAXI. Now, that's a scary thought.See y'all next November! :-DChuck Henry

Michael,The Vibe was incredible. This was my 2nd Road Rally and I feel revitalized! I reached my goal this year to have an industry professional listen to my songs, and he really liked them, and asked for follow-up after the rally. Wow, connections CAN really be made at the Rally! To Mazz and all the TAXI panel members, you guys did such a great job and gave me real focus this year. You guys ROCK!!-Jeff Lizerbram

This was my first rally, and I feel so deeply inspired, enthusiast and grateful for this incredible gathering so filled with heartfelt connection, practical biz advice, and wonderful people sharing their musical journeys with such generosity, joy and Love.Michael Laskow, THANK YOU for turning this idea of yours so many years ago into a living, breathing example of creating a music community with such integrity, generosity of spirit, and -- geez, I'll say it again -- heartfelt connection. I am so honored and overjoyed to be a part of Taxi. With Gratitude Galore,SuzP.S. Of course, the only thing I would suggest changing is requiring all Taxi members to play Ukulele . . .

THANK YOU Michael. I posted this on another thread but I'll re-post it here:I want to say that this is my first Rally, and it it absolutely the most amazing experience. It is life changing...it has really made me focus on career choices and goals, by demonstrating tried and true methods for reaching those career goals. To Michael and his staff...unbelievable feat. I can't believe you can assemble this much talent from all areas of the music business and bring them all together, in what appears to be an effortless fashion. You make it look easy... What a vibe you have created, and I am in your debt. Now I have to follow the advice that Jeffrey Steele gave us yesterday..."write songs, just write songs"I also want to add how grateful I am to have met fellow Taxi members. It is truly an honor to be associated with themBombay Charlie

I just joined Taxi in September, so this was my first RR. I just have to say that it was truly an amazing experience! I didn't get a chance to meet everyone on the forum that I wanted to, but I met some of you.It was awesome to be around so many people that have the same interests that I do; everyone was easy to talk to and down to earth. It's difficult to put into words. I got home late last night, and I couldn't go to sleep because I just kept thinking about the wonderful time I had.I want to thank Mr. Laskow, and everyone else associated with Taxi; I can't wait for next year.-Paul
