Got my ticket with Virgin America (thanks for the tip Kelly). Yesterday it was 40 from SF to LA, lowest I've seen. Today it was 30, so I booked it!!! They fly very limited destinations but worth checking out if you still need a ticket. See you there.

Hey Thomas, you should definitely stick around a few days, LA is a very cool place! During the rally you won't have time to do anything else, the schedule is packed from 9am till 11pm (or later) usually. If you need any suggestions for things to do feel free to PM me. i don't live there at the moment but did for seven years, having left in 2008.

I just booked my reservation at the rally hotel too. I'm stoked!!! This will be my first rally, and can't wait to meet some of the folks in person that I've been chatting with here and take it all in. I'm also watching flight prices for a bit to see if they drop some in the next few weeks. Per the ML's latest email, I'm using www.farecast.com (bing.com's travel search) and have set up alerts to send me emails as prices change. There's a nifty little trend predictor there like you see on other sites, but it also collects results from the online discount travel sites and the airline's sites in one, tidy spot. TPA to LAX today was around $325 1-stop/roundtrip on delta. That's quite a bit lower already from a few weeks ago. Anyway, I really like the interface on that site over some of the others I've used.Can't wait!

Boy, I can't wait to see all of YOU dots again! I booked my tickets a two months ago, and now tickets are $108 cheaper... sheesh ), but I don't care because I'm going to the Rally!!! And I'm so stoked-- I can't believe another year has nearly already gone by...And this year I'm giving my guest ticket to Fred from Freddy & The Freeloaders.
