Thanks Bri!ONOFFON's SSP of the Day comes from a DJ at DHNR Radio that contacted us through our IUMA page - "This is a message for ONOFFON from DJ DAWG Hi. My Name is Mark Douglas ( aka DJ Dawg ). I own and produce DH NetRadio which is affiliated with Sonic Box (www.sonicbox.com). This is not a form letter, in fact I have downloaded some of your free mp3s and I really dig what you guys are doing. I am very interested in giving your band some airplay on DHNR. If this sounds like something your band would be interested in, please email me. Thank you for your time.Mark DouglasOwner / Operator DH NetRadioMadDawg Productions"Thanks to Mark for finding our music to his liking...

Love the vibe of that tune. India's and Indonesian players would call the vibe rasa. Its more natural for me to say your song has good rasa. Vibration isn't specific enough. Anyway, the descending motif does occur a few too many times for my taste but heck, I don't think I could do better at the moment. Despite the repetition you still get an A+ from me. Clearly you've done your homework.Greg

We recorded it three months after we'd met. I would like to think we're honing our craft, so to speak, as we write more music together.Of course, this is not the standard 'commercial' fare that one usually finds on TAXI. We're not writing and recording music according to formulae and hooks. Music is art and business detracts from the artistic nature of creativity and innovation. Thanks again for taking the time to listen and contribute your opinion...

Today's ONOFFON SSP of the Day comes to us from our friends at TAXI!I submitted three of our songs, "The Gift Must Always Move", "Opus", and "Shadowglass", to listing # S040730NA...... and they were all forwarded by Listener ID #27!"The Gift..." received 8's and 9's in rating, saying, "Lush, emotional guitar work, inversion and open string voicing... right direction for this genre... live playing a plus, harmonics and natural sound to track"."Opus" also received 8's and 9's, saying, "spatial, other worldly feel to lead guitar... Jeff Beck is one of my faves too... excellent work keep playing"."Shadowglass" received 7's and 8's, saying, "more modern in terms of harmony, groove etc. laid back feel here descending chord passages and figure offer some contrast, yet no really striking flute melody.. good playing".Don't blame our flautist for the melody in Shadowglass - I wrote and charted that one myself, so it's my fault...Overall - "Pro work. Guitar identity, signature tone and feel. Hypnotic and well put together layers in "The Gift..." strong piece. "The Gift..." and "Opus" are my favorites here - bon chance" Huge thanks to Listener ID #27 and TAXI!!!!!!

Today's ONOFFON SSP of the Day is from the first EAT'M conference that I attended - this is from a producer/artist I met who has since become a fan of our music - "Von,Hey, dude! The "Your Mind" CD is really awesome! And I'm not just throwing those words around. It really is. I haven't even gotten to the other CDs I picked up at Eat'm. I agree with the JamBands reviewer: "Cluttered. Weird. A smorgasbord of splendiferous sounds. Absolute perfection."I hope you and your family had a good time in Vegas. I had a blast between car breakdowns. Did you know that Richard Branson, the Virgin Airlines billionaire guy was at the bar with us? Later,Peter De BaetsThe Painted iD" Thanks to Peter for his kind words and support...

ONOFFON's SSP of the Day comes from a music reviewer that contributes to a number of different review sites - this was his initial email to me about our tune, "Mardi Gras" -"Von,By the way, I just listened to "Mardi Gras" for the first time, and this is great! Did you ever have anyone notice how much this sounds like something Dave Matthews Band would play during a Leroi Moore sax jam? Awesome Jonathan"It's not the only time we've had a reference to Dave Matthews - our thanks to Jonathan for his flattering comparison... Believe it or not, I'm going out of town for the weekend, so I won't be posting for the next few days... see you back here on Wednesday...

I'm back with a new Live365 station that is expected to launch later this week for today's ONOFFON SSP of the Day - here's an email I just received -"Hey Von,I absolutely love "Mardi Gras" and "The Gift Must Always Move". I want to add both of those to my playlist. Can you email those to me in a mp3 format so I can plug them in? I plan to go live with the webcast by Friday. If I can get together a good enough playlist I will launch it earlier. Thanks,Xaviera"Our thanks to Xaviera for adding to the list of Live365 stations currently playing our music...
