Re: How many lefties
Well, there you go. If you are good, you go the "right" path. If you are a communist, you tend to the left. If you ask a stupid question, you come out of left field, if you are evil, you are sinister=lefty.

Re: How many lefties
The person that made this list didnt know much about music. He felt the need to state that Beethoven was a composer too! ( And I didnt know he was a lefty too! ) Yeah Billy, we're in good company!

Re: How many lefties
Count me in of course, I mean lookit my geetar! Actually, I'm somewhat ambidextrous. I play guitars left-handed (and I have left-handed models now, with the strings reversed. I learned on right-handed guitars back in the day, and never bothered to correct it. At the time, it felt fine ta' me). But anything that has to do with some kind of throwing or swinging motion, I'm totally right-handed. Bowling, shooting basketball, batting, boxing, or possibly casting a fishing line, the right hand is the dominant hand. Playing guitars, using a fork to eat with, wearing a watch, working the remote, brushing teeth or combing hair, the left hand is the dominant one. Playing piano (which I'm nowhere as good as you brinda, or any of the other true keyboard players here), or driving, I feel comfortable using either hand. Doesn't matter. I think this all came about because my mom is left-handed (as well as my brother), and my dad was right-handed. Pretty mixed up, huh? ibanez468

Re: How many lefties
I'm a lefty, too. When my uncle taught me to play guitar, at about 10 years old, he highly recommended I learn to play righty. Man, was he correct, I've been handed some incredible guitars in my life to try out. I would have missed out on playing these beauties if I could only play lefties. My teachers thought I wrote left handed just to be contrary since I was so obstinate about everything else as well.No one understands a rebel!

Re: How many lefties
13th. August 2009International Left Handers DayWhen I was younger, my dad had a small sailboat. He and my three brothers were all righties.Whenever I used the boat, I would use left hand knots...(start the tying process using my left hand). When one of the others used it later, they always had a problem undoing the knots. They called them 'wrong handed knots'I had to remind them that there were four of them always tying rightie knots that I always had to deal with...without whinning.
