#319 thinks it's too busy for a typical TV underscore ...

Man, I thought you had it. It didn't seem to busy for underscore to me, I guess I don't quite understand how busy you can get away with. I submitted 3 pieces that got returned. #384 screened mine and had really nice things to say about all of the pieces with different reasons for return. One that he liked he thought the drums were a little loose. If this is background, why would that matter? I left them a little loose jazz wise purposely to make it sound more human. Take a listen and let me know if you think the timing is really loose also. https://soundcloud.com/waddyp/miles-away I also submitted: https://soundcloud.com/waddyp/stiki-wikit and https://soundcloud.com/waddyp/thursday-cool

Thanks for the lift up, Waddy. :)

I think ALL of yours were very cool! Maybe a little too "loud" and not as "sensual" and I think they probably might have liked for the cocktail setting. Again, who really knows what they want. I sorta had this type of Jazz in mind when I wrote mine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8JmQuRI5EJE

Just when you think you have something that will stick, bam!! The bubble has burst and with no apparent rhyme or reason.

DO NOT trash those great songs!! I'm sure they'll get another chance.

Hi peter,
Wow, I just realized a couple of things. You say you used to live in Massachusetts, I grew up there, Dorchester, Stoughton, Plymouth! I went to Berklee in Boston. I also see you are currently living in San Jose................I live in Santa Cruz! We should get together sometime. Do you play live at all? I play in a local funk band named Funkranomicon, I play keys. www.funkranomicon.com I didn't know about this Bolinas get together. What are the details?

haha, Waddy! Small world, for sure!

You and I chatted about that about a year ago or so. ;) Purty cool! My fiance works with some guys who know your band mates. They're with the Pacific Kings, from Santa Cruz. :D I haven't played live since I moved out here (4 years ago).

Eeoo's band is playing at Smiley's (in Bolinas) on Saturday and a few of us were going to hang out in honor of Crawdaddy's road trip to CA. All are welcome. I've never been, but the lady and I will be in S.F. that day so we'll stop by and say "hey."
Come on up, if you can!
