My Dog's Tribute song- Need mix comments

I wrote this song as a dedication to my dog who recently passed away.

I am going to put it to a video of his pics. anyway I wanted mix comments on the balance, panning, EQ, Instrumentation etc. Whatever sticks out to you

Ok, I took a course on EQ and wanted a bit drier more upfront vocal mix so here is my latest

Good tune. I still miss my Golden who died 2 years ago.

The only thing that sticks out to me is the 's' sounds on the vocals. I don't know if your DAW has a de-esser, but I would put one on the vocal track.

I kept waiting to hear a kick drum come in (I expected one to arrive at the pre-chorus).

A nice effect might be to send the piano to the left side and add a touch of delay or reverb. Nothing wrong with what you've got now, but I was hearing the piano panned right and this might be a nice effect to add.

I'd love to hear a harmony vocal come in later in the song.

Hello dear Michelle,

Sorry for the lost of your beautiful Dog.

Ah ... an Ukelele, and your lovely Voice, and at 0.45 a simple light little Shaker. At 1.08 a gentle Piano appears. At 1.40, a cool delicate Percussion.
Love at 2.04 the "duhduhduh duh duh duh" and the Orchestration is becoming a tiny bit richer.
At 2.32 a simple Break. And you resume.

My Impression, dear Michelle, is that the Conception and the Rendition of this Song, a Song very close to your Heart, is extremely gentle, sweet, feminine, pure, fresh and clear, unblended, and sensitive.

No need to double it. Just send it to a bus, add a slight touch of reverb or delay to the bus then and pan that bus to the opposite side. I'm 50% sure you'll like the result.

Ok, I don't deal with the bus all that much right now, still learning Logic and mixing and all the ins and outs, but let me try it! Thanks!

It's pretty simple once you figure it out.

Click on the box below 'Sends' and then go down to 'Bus'. From the drop down list, choose 'Bus 1'. This will create a channel to the far right. Just like any channel you can insert an effect, pan it and adjust the volume. Now, when you create a bus channel, you will get a circle that looks like a bulls-eye in the original channel. This controls the amount of send (so 0-100%) or volume that can be sent to the bus channel.
