Yeah dude you're posting your stuff in the wrong place. Read the descriptions under each section of the forum. If you want people to listen to your stuff and give you any advice you need to post it in Peer to Peer. I for one almost never go into the "Shameless Self-Promotion" section as I get bombarded with plenty of shameless self promotion on myspace and pretty much any local hip-hop gig I go to. My main genre is hip hop and I've had great responses from a lot of forum members when I posted in peer to peer. So the "Old Hippies that only care about their dinosaur genre" comment of yours isn't valid.-Steve

yo alibloneyContacted taxi on this one. Seems you were shortchanged.Trying to figure an appropriate new forum for you.Not sure if it should be labeled "idiots" of assholes".As far as the "on and off this website", stick with the "off"Paul (dinosaur)

At another website, he went off on "hippies" and got flamed. With your attitude, I'm not surprised you're being ignored.Lots of us here are VERY open-minded, including me.If YOU were more open-minded, you might want to replace the word "dinosaur" with "experienced." Experience in the music business includes not trashing others' experience and putting people down. You've got a lot to learn, troll.Ern

AlimonY I did a review on your songs, with a hammer and chisel on a rock, I guess you didn't see it. I've been looking for your review on southern rock music and haven't found one.(a real name would help, too, it is a little more personal that way)
It's hard to make a comeback when you haven't been anywhere

I'm amazed at how many members are taking the high road in this thread! I'm very impressed with you, my friends.I'm gonna take the road a little further in the humble direction since others have already said the most useful stuff (kudos!!). I suppose I should admit that am an irrelevant old <ex> hippy. Some of us are in that same boat in the sense that we need to find a way to be more current. Personally I'm struggling with that right now. I am actually thankful that our antagonist OriginalAlimony has reminded me just how important it is to take that olde tymer experience and freshen it up!My last comment (relevant or not ): Love is the most powerful force in the universe! Love changes eveything!Cheers,Allen (an original card-carrying "flower child")PS: Didn't somebody once say "All you need is Love"?

Aren't the 'good things that come to those who wait' just the leftovers from the people that got there first?

AlimonY Lol.Hey Mr. Alimony let me tell you these “old hippies” are great! If you look at this “website” with the right eye you’ll see a family with the “door” always open to anyone who friendly wants to join. I don’t think you’re acting like part of the family with only 17 posts since you joined on March 2004. Now you have 6 posts: 5 PROMOTING YOURSELF and in the one you are not promoting yourself you said: “it's hard to get any love in this place…” BTW I’m 25: inexperienced, with a lot to learn. But if God help me to… become an “old hippie” I’m going to be so experienced and I’m going to be so proud of all the things I’m going to have accomplished by that time.Congratulations if you’re experienced and successful PERSON before you get… to be an “old hippie”
