Let me put it this way, the only pedal I use, besides the channel switching, is a tuner. It has clean, crunch and overdrive channels and that's enough for me.I like the Mark series best, I haven't spent much time with some of the other models so I can't comment on them. But most any amp will get as much OD as you want with stock pickups - if the guitar/amp are set up right.
It's hard to make a comeback when you haven't been anywhere

Doesn't Metallica use Mesa Boogies? I'd say that's pretty crunchy!I'm partial to Vox AC-30's and Super Beatles myself.Sgt. P

Hello in Pepperland:Was listening to "Breakfast with the Beatles" on my local station this morning and remembered 2 Beatle things I love:(1) The seemless exchange of vocal leads to and from the bridge ("When I'm home...") on Hard Day's Night. (2) The key change to and from the bridge in "Something". Song is in C, the bridge is in A.... Casey

Maybe it has something to do with Apple suing Apple for going into the music business?! As far as I know, as part of the last settlement in the latest round of legal proceedings between the two companies there's now some sort of agreement in place to put the Beatles catalogue on Itunes. But don't quote me on that.

Re: Why was Sgt. Peppers such a huge album?
I recently bought a used copy of the "Let it Be" DVD. If you've never seen it, or haven't for a long time, a recommend you get a copy... At a minimum, fast forward to the rooftop concert scene toward the later part of the film (the last 20-30 minutes)... Watching them play live, at that point in their history, is a huge treat for a Beatles fan. It's John and Paul together at their best, especially given all the fighting and breakup stuff at that time. They sound like a band, not individuals as they tended to do late in the game.OK, I know John plays lead guitar on "Get Back" and does the riff on "Dig a Pony"... But who does the lead guitar break on "Dig a Pony"? I can't tell from the film since the camera is not on them at that point in the song. Anyone know? Casey
