I've been told by large committees, that the money making ditties, talk of kitties that leave Tom's yowling with fever.but those that I submit like it are soon compared to what does emitfrom the southern side of a golden hide retriever.yet the man who with no shame complains of others with smooth brainsremains in chains obtained thru his own blame aloneand since this is my post uno, and I don't wish be a ghost you know, then I guess I'd best leave well enough... and Rome.

Wow! this thread is till goin' !? I can't believe it's so hard to accept that some people simply can't review lyrics without music. Sometimes you gotta live, learn and move on... like the day i stopped using my webcam Mic. to "record" 24 bit vocal tracks ( in STEREO). Talk about distortion!!! WOW! RanG

Quote:...remember Pete Luboff's approach to songwriting at the NAS workshops? He was 95% about lyrics and 5% about music. This always puzzled me, but I DID learn alot about lyric writing. --- Many people would bring in only a lyric to be reviewed. What bugged me to no end was when someone would bring in a godawful demo that had NO connection to any kind of pop music, and Pete would lead the applause and then talk ONLY about the lyric and not mention that the music was a huge, steaming pile of cow dung! Ern Ralph Murphy: (How to get a publilshing deal in Nashville)Four most important things that a writer had to have to get a publishing deal in Nashville were very surprising. • Number one, of course, was the lyric.• Number two, was personality-whether or not they like you.• Number three, logically, is melody-the ability to write a great melody. • Number four, was the ability to write alone. But personality, whew. I've got people passing through my office who are just so negative. No matter how good they are, no one is going to want to put up with someone as negative and depressing as this human being who is bitching at me.

I like it when I create a thread that inspires conversation. That keeps things alive here and proves that this forum is far from dead. Let's give 'em something to talk about... Casey

CaseyCasey, I'm not sure what my problem is ( could be 'rhoidal ), Butt thanks for asking. You always want to know how I'm doing. A true gentleman.Seriously Casey... what did you achieved with this thread. I mean, really What did we learn That provocation is far from inspiration? Maybe. That the ability to kick oneself in the head is the best way to prove oneself not dead. Plausible and leaning towards Absolute. Nope, something deeper happened here, and the proof was in the pudding. I remember being Sooo inspired that i jumped from my chair... , butt what inspired me? It's on the tip of my tongue. It's so close i can put my finger on it. Oh... there it is... the highest point of inspiration was when everything turned to " cow dung " and Toupee s (don't forget the ee's are pronounced AAAA as in Hey Hay Casey ( i think i did last "e" wrong.)Peace... .RanG
