Hey Devin and Bird, thanks for the good wishes.Devin, I read they really missed the mark on the flu shot this year, that one strain they used didn't even work!! I'm sorry all y'all got sick at your place too. With little ones, it's an endless variety of illnesses, seems like, and they're all contagious! Your pediatrician!! HAHAHAHAHHAHA!! Thanks for the support. It was jes like mama's chicken soup.......tasteful and yet filling too.

Remember to take extra Vitamin C. Cigarettes destroy C in your body and it's not stored anyway. So, drink up your OJ, take some Emergen-C. Remember also to drink a lot of water. Now that you're not smoking, your body is in a detox phase and that can take up to 6 months, depending on how much you smoked. So, some of those flu symptoms could actually be detox or be made worse by the detox. So drink lots of water -- or even better, make hot water with a fresh lemon squeezed (get both the Vitamin C, the warmth and the water!)And keep breathing -- it will get easier. I promise.Warm regards,Debra

So where is everybody? You guys OK? I can only hope this means you're feeling confident enough not to have to check in daily. If so, that's a GREAT sign.Milfus, I have no doubt you'll be here and in full force in no time.Ibanez, you make me proud.Carlos (Solrax), if I'm not mistaken, this ought to be your 6th day without, yes? Spectacular. Keep it up, you guys.Ted

Still hangin' in there tedster! I haven't been as active as normal on the boards. Tryin' ta' get my mother prepared to make this leap to a senior citizens facility. I've had to focus on that for right now, makin' phone calls, settin' up appointments for one thing or another, tryin' to get in touch with my realtor ta' see about sellin' her house, all kinds of things. Busy, busy, busy!I'm still with the program though. Still haven't had a smoke yet, although I've been tempted a few times. But I've been able to put the thought out of my mind, and move on. Still eatin' fruit trail mix, drinkin' apple juice and soforth. So, overall, feelin' good. How are you doin'? Got this thing under control? Hope so! Did milfus get ta' grind the fangs down some? How's Solrax? You still hangin' in there buddy? Hope so! How's the caffeine crew makin' out? You guys cuttin' back some more? How's H'bird makin' out with the procrastination issues? Hope everyone has their struggles/battles in check. I know it's a tuff road. Gotta' keep movin' forward! Right??I-468

You know it. And GREAT to hear you're still going strong. How many days is it now?Today is my 40th day, which is amazing. But I can tell you there have been several occasions in the last week when it took all I had to bite the bullet and hold on. But I did NOT break down. I just have to keep reminding myself that no matter HOW intense these cravings are, they are SITUATIONAL cravings, not physical ones. That's how I know they're going to pass.sorry about the situation with your Mom. That's a LOT to deal with, period; but it's only exaggerated by the stress of trying to quit at the same time.Hang in there. You're doing GREAT.Hope everybody else is standing strong. Let us hear from you, K?Ted

It's okay to hold your ground and not make huge strides sometimes, milf. You're in it for the long haul. Staying focused is harder than it appears.
