How's everyone doin' these days? I'm still hangin' in there. Just got through eatin' breakfast (yes, I had cup of coffee from Dunkin' Donuts). I probably won't have anymore for months now. Still smoke-free. Haven't broken down so far. Cravings are not as bad anymore. Took my vitamins (B&C), now I'm listening to silvercord's (Geoff) ambient pieces while I type. Good stuff BTW Geoff.I've managed to save $200 now from not smoking, so that's an accomplishment. So all-in-all, doin' pretty good I think. How's the Tedster, Milfus, and the Solrax doin'? How are the caffeine-free folks doin' out there? Hangin tuff? Hope so. How's Vikki and her non-procrastination program goin? Good, I hope!BTW -- Congratulations Ted on your accomplishment!! 44 days w/o. That's FANTASTIC!!!! Keep up the Great Work!! Well, that's it for now, anybody else??I-468

Yes, I've seen your videos, very funny! That's me too! But there comes a time when I say "Enuff is Enuff". I know vickytbp is gonna' make fun of me, but I have a little procrastination lesson from Tony Robbins, and every time I get in that kinda' slump, I always remember that lesson. And that's basically to just get up off your behind and tackle the thing(s) that you're putting off the most and just "get 'er DONE!" I've been puttin' off re-doing my returned submittals for a while, but now I'm already in the process of tackling each one, a song-at-a-time. So mentally, I guess, I'm making myself do the very thing that I really don't wanna' do, but as I get into it, I'm able to accept the fact that it has ta' be done, and I just do it with less reluctance. So yeah, we're basically takin' the same approach. Just do it! Right?I-468

Great posts I-468...I'm sure Ted is nodding approvingly at your visible leadership.(Either that, or Ted's following Vikki's "video part II" himself!) After a month of abstinence, I ended up drinking coffee both days last weekend. And I had a headache yesterday to pay for it...amazing the correlation for me. I'm back off my beloved "black juice" this week, and hopefully for a good long time.I'm also trying to emulate Vikki by being very focussed on the music right now. I really need to improve my craft, specifically my playing, so I can make a few more honest attempts at the postings. For me, this also means a little less typing on the boards for a while, and a little more tracking in the dungeon.Seriously though, this place is great. Great ideas & encouragement...plus this thread in particular is an amazing example of support.Congratulations to all the quitters...and cheers to those that are in the process of "letting go of our respective demons". Hey guys!Just thought I'd check in. Well, today marks approximately, the 30th day since I began my "no smoking" campaign, and I must say... I'm dyin' for a cigarette! Seriously, I'm alright, even though I wouldn't mind havin' one right about now. As mentioned in an earlier post, have managed to save $200. Can't believe I spent that much in a month. Never really bothered to take into account how much I was spending daily, weekly or monthly. It was just automatic, without any regard for spending habits or money. Devin & Ted, thanks for the votes of confidence, and thanks to everyone else for supporting us all, and rootin' us on. I don't know, is milf ready to have the torch handed over to him yet? Wassup milf? Whaddya say? Ready ta' take on the task or what? Hmmm...may have ta' hold on to it a little while longer methinks? Ted, congratulations on the 7 weeks. Truly an inspiration to us all. I know you're feeling alot better these days, and the cravings have obviously subsided considerably. Keep up the fight dude, your body's thanking you dearly for it! Mine is thanking me dearly too! I-468BTW -- Typed all of this stuff only to hit the "post reply" button, and my time had expired! DANG! DOUBLE DANG!! DANG DANG!!! I gotta trick for that though. I hit my "back" button, and everything reverts back to the way it was, I highlight and copy all of my text, Login again, and paste in the "quick reply" box, and keep steppin' like nothin' ever happened. I recall reading that some others have come across that situation, and lost all of their precious thoughts and typing, and just thought I'd let you all know that all is not lost when you've timed out and have to login again.
