It wasn't easy gettin' here, a place most of you folks want to be, (though I have lots of still-unattained goals) so instead of jes' gloating, I guess I owe all y'all a better explanation of how I got here; trouble is, it'd take a couple of pages just to list all the crap jobs I did to keep the lights on in the meantime-and they don't call it mean for nuthin'. Stay tuned, I'll post more when I have time.

My last JOB was in 1973 as a chemist. Much more fun working for your wife. (You get to sleep with the boss). Done a lot of playing out, working in music stores, starting lots of businesses. The current one that pays the bills is www.massage-oil.com, also www.customcharcoal.com and www.indiansprings.org, and www.ironcanyon.org and, and andWriting music is the most rewarding spiritually of all my ventures and has been my goal for decades. Got the time, co-writers, studios....now if I just had some more talent...

I used to be a full-time performing musician, and made my living doing that. THEN, after moving to LA, I built 3 studios starting in the late 80's, and got so many clients as an engineer/producer/musician that I had no time for composing, which is my passion. So after I lost my lease due to a property sale in the mid-90's, I moved my whole studio into a mountain cabin and recorded a solo rock album, and got back into orchestral music. --- After "coming down the hill," I took classes in film scoring at UCLA. That led to "Symphony No. 1," and I've never looked back, until recently when I rejoined TAXI and started writing songs and instrumentals. I've signed about 30 old masters to music libraries, but am now getting serious again about making $$ as a composer, full time.I'm VERY lucky to have a supportive wife who makes the bulk of the money as an asset manager helping people find affordable housing. She's a wonderful lady!Keep 'em coming! Ern

I run a pizzeria. I've been managing restaurants for years. The job I'm in now takes about 70 hours a week...then I also have a house, a marriage, two teenage daughters. I can squeeze in about 10 hours a week now on music. And some people wonder why I've "dragged my feet" becoming a member.

Squids,We do Ebay tooo, but have really cut back. The profit hasn't been worth the amount of time we put in. The fees kill us. I use to handle the Ebay orders, but almost years ago I quit! Told the hubby if he wanted to do it, he could, but I was no longer dealing with it We really only like Ebay to keep daily cashflow. It takes us 2 weeks to get paid with the other site.

When the gigs don't pay all the bills, I work doing renovation. I built my house in the Adirondacks and can handle framing, general carpentry, concrete repair, gyp rock hanging and finishing, painting, tile work etc.. I've done every type of job under the sun over the last thirty five years. Housed tobacco, took tickets in a movie theatre, Booger King, ski instructor, bartender, janitor, driver, watchman, lumber jack, prep cook, christmas tree trimmer, hot walker for horses at a race track, dishwasher, bar manager, envelope stuffer, file clerk, music teacher at a medium security prison... the list goes on and on. My favorite work is playing piano in a nice jazz trio or quartet. My worst job was working in a pole yard in Hideaway Park, Colorado, cutting and grading freshly peeled telephone poles then packing them into boxcars to be taken to Denver.Am I the only blue collar person on these boards?Mewman
