Re: Your honest opinion needed of this new MASTER
Hello Heinsite,The EQ on the main VOX is right were I want it from what I’m hearing on my end and so it’s probably more to do with bringing the background back a bit to bring the main voice forward. I hope you check back when I do the next master and comment on what you’re hearing.JeffHello Mojobone,You’re absolutely correct in that I would need the entire mix. It’s my hope that I can get the song past the screener then whoever is picking the song up will then do a re-master anyway. For example… If a movie producer pick the song up for a movie, they would want to re-master the song anyway just so it fits within the same EQ as any other tracks used within that movie. I really don't think that I could bring it to the point of "movie production" with the equipment that I am dealing with, I've just got to hit the screener right.Jeff

I still think you need to have the option of using the lead vocal to duck the vocal FX track or tracks, if possible. That should help with the clarity. The lead vocal is so well sung, you could get away with having it further forward in the mix, IMO.

mojo--i think that is what i was trying to convey, but being a novice in the mixing game (and trying to describe it...) is a pain in the butt.somehow, we need to hear her voice more clearly imo too.warren
