I continue to be blown away by the support I have received in here. I have three pages in Taxi, one at Christian Songwriter's Network and one or two pages at Songramp. This means very possibly that Hundreds of people are praying for me. I am so very blessed and humbled. Thank you all, so much.Walt

Well,I came home last night to a message on my answering machine. MD Anderson wants to change my appt. date from the 9th to the 27th. CRUD!! Good news, though. They were able to negotiate In-Network rates for my insurance. That will save me an additional 20%, at least, on the $14,000+ to visit the facility, be evaluated and begin treatment. OOOOOOH, thank You, Lord!! Keep it up, guys. All those thoughts and prayers are getting attention. Thanks to all,Walt

After much bantering about "No openings in August" to "Maybe September", I got a call this a.m.. MD has an opening on the 1st and the 24th. I hate to put it off that long. But, I'm prob'ly gonna go for the 24th to be fair to my employer, et al. Now, I have all those arrangements to make, again. Whoopee!!

Saw my Oncologist today. So encouraging . He said the Interferon works well below the brain, but does not do well with growth "in" the brain. Great!!I will begin Interferon next week and still go to Texas for something possibly stronger.I'm just absolutely exhausted from all this. I went by work, explained the situation and asked if I could have tomorrow,Friday, off just to have a day when I don't have to be anywhere. I can just "BE". #@*%&Well, by gosh, I've earned a beer and smoke out on the front porch. Even finished a collaborative effort on a Christian song w/ a gal from CSN. Decent ending to a horse manure of a day!!

To add to yesterday's post: The doc is also sending me to a new Neurologist (A new-rologist? ) for an EEG to check for seizure activity. At times, while driving, I kinda go to sleep with my eyes open and run off the road. Not good. I know.Plus, I am now on Vicodine for pain. The Ultram dulls it, but don't kill it.Oh, and he don't like it too much that I'm going to Houston for further evaluation and treatment. Ain't that just tough noogies. It ain't his life being threatened, eh?More good news! My Pharmacist said it would be best "Not" to work Monday, due to the Interferon making one feel like complete doggie-do the first day or so. Thus, I had to make "that" call. But, I do NOT like leaving someone else holding the bag for my responsibilities, either. I'm startin' to get scared of losing my job. I've missed alotta work cuz of this crud.Do it sound to you'ns like I have a case for disability? I hate even asking that'n. Makes me feel like a cheat. No offense. That's just me. But, I also want to be fair to my co-workers. If they could get someone to do my job cuz I wasn't in the equation, it would make life easier for them.I'm thinkin' too much . It's givin' me a headache .

It's givin' me a headache .Sympathies Walt but falling asleep when your driving is not good for your health.I have fallen asleep four times while driving back from gigs.Luckily I woke up in time and avoided disaster, the most notable occasion being,I was on the wrong side of the road with a truck comming straight at me.Lucky for me the truck driver wasn't asleep as well, and reminded me I was on his side of the road!!!

Watch that careless thinking, Walter. It's been known to lead to rampant and uncontrolled songwriting attacks. Keep on keeping on. We are thinking about you here.
