Okay,Received my first syringe full-o poison at 3:30 pm. So, far no chills or fever. I am a bit tired and sleepy, maybe a little achey( not breaky ). We shall see. Thirty-five more shots to go for this round. In between, I get to enjoy the Houston experience.Anybody else wanna join me on this ride?!!

This part of the ride sucks Walt. I'm gonna sit this one out, if it's OK with you.

Only to say HI, send thoughts and prayers and that I'd be checking in here too if I were in a similar situation. Good group.

Not to get too political either, but...Drug treatments in Canada cost less, even when they come from American Companies. Michael Moore is onto something: there's no reason for citizens of the richest country in the world to endure huge medical bills. Musicians & artists get hit the hardest since they're not usually the top earners. This blows There's so much good vibe on this board, it's surreal...I'm not a praying man, but I'll make an exception for you Walter.Vermeer

Okay!!'Bout 9:30 last night a sack of bricks fell on me. Chills, headache, FATIGUE. Whoa!!!Woke up feeling like a bulldozer had runover my back. Kidneys, obviously. The old Erdheims must be really PO'ed at me for being so unkind. So, I had a couple of big glasses of H2O w some Tylenol. Now, I just feel like a 5'8" sack of led. I have misplaced my energy. You guys seen it?!! I imagine the ole body just has to adjust. But, I feel like I got no bones.Oncologist's nurse was concerned. So, I am supposed to hear back from them about 2:00.And the saga continues!!

Tried the pharmacists advice last night, Wednesday. Took Tylenol before my injection and got the shot just before bed. It did work out much better that way. Slept like a rock, straight through the worst of the side effects and feel more rested today. Gettin' out of bed was like draggin' an anchor across the beach, though. Also, got my confirmation from Angel Flights this a.m.. They'll pick us up on the 23rd and off we go to Houston. Need to pull my duster and spurs outa the closet and dust'em off. Yeah!! You should see me on a horse! That's a joke in itself. Yeeha!!

We are counting down the days, nay, hours until we take to the air westward. I am ready to have this %#*@!! behind me and be somewhat "normal?" again.

Okay,Third injection as of Friday night. Is it my imagination, or do my legs actually feel better already? The side effects do continue, though. SLEEEEEEEPY!! Feel heavy in my arms and legs, and, oh, do I run out of gas quickly. But, as I've said before, "This stuff ain't Kool-Aid".Some nights I can only stomach Raisin Bran and a banana for dinner. But, I did have mashed taters last night. Mmmm-mmm!!Sweets seem to do well, also. Yeah, you'll get alot of arguement from me about eating a fudge brownie .
