About the "n" word part, I kind of agree with 50 Cent and TI to name a few. They have to use the "n" word. How else could they possibly describe their feelings without using the word. So I say good for them. I'm not black, nor am I white, I bring a new twist to this game and that's what will get me and keep me at the top with some of the greats.

They're using the rebel angle, I can cop that. But what are your goals? To be like them or to blaze something new? It's betta to lead then look at 50s butt on the way up. Then again, when it comes to Taxi stuff, if you're looking at labels, they're gonna give you lots of ala's that tell you what they're looking for so you're gonna be able to see where you fit from those. That's what Taxi's here for, to provide opps for breakout chances.

Shavez-You lyrics are catchy and paint meaningful, lasting pictures in my mind - good job. Your rhythmic delivery and pronunciation could use some work, however.Rhythmically, you tend to sound a bit stiff and "straight," especially compared with the groovy feel of your tracks; try to use fewer triplets and quick "marching snare"-sounding phrases...I think those are contributing to the stiffness I'm hearing. As for your pronunciation, I applaud you being true to yourself in that you seem to be using your normal speaking voice and accent. However, this is not imparting a very "streety," hip sound. I'd start by replacing all your hard "-er's" (as is "players") with "-uh's" and go from there. If you're concerned about "playing the game" right (as you state in an earlier post), then there are certain language conventions you should follow if you want to make it in this genre. Listen to what the popular rappers are doing, then make it your own.Andre

I am definitely a leader. My goals are that I've learned from past and present artists as a whole, what developed into a culture. Now it's time for that culture to be shaped by me. I plan to run alongside some of the present greats who are currently on the top to show my own talent and eventually I hope to become like them, someone writing something like this about me. Hope you're getting this and I'm not just writing too much.

AndrehAbout replacing those "ers" with "uhs", I purposely sometimes pronounce my words properly. I'm a trendsetter, I'm not gonna say those "uhs" because society thinks it cool. It's the artist that sets the trend, plain and simple. The reason I speak so proper is to rid all the gangster wannabees that lurk the streets thinking they're gangster (didn't say gangsta), but really don't know the meaning of hard work. So I fight them with intelligence. You see what I'm trying to say? It's for all these reason and maybe a million more that I rap.

It's for all these reason and maybe a million more that I rap.In my not-so-humble opinion, there are much better ways to fight ignorance and contribute real value to this world. Don't get me wrong: I believe it is valid to express or vent one's own negative feelings through their music but I draw the line at expressing negativity just for the sake of expressing negativity - especially when the negative feelings don't spill forth spontaneously from one's own soul.I apologize if my comments above don't appear supportive. I'm just feeling an irresistible, inexplicable urge to ask you to reflect on your motivations. Great people throughout history have done so with outstanding results.Good luck & all the best... I really mean it!-Allen

Your response is appreciated. Sometimes I go a little overboard with things, but you have to understand, there are singers and there are MCs. I'm an MC. A MC looks more into things. A MC sees and hears things others dont, really. The only reason you might see me being unfair is because that is the way I see the world reflected back at me. Know what I mean?So I appologise as well, if any of my words sound harsh, they don't intend to be. Aside from music, I'm just a regular dude. But I have to admit music does take up alot of my life.

Know what I mean?As long as you're honest with yourself it'll come out in your music and you'll do fine. Sounds like you're doing that after all. I'm the one who should apologize.-Allen
