No hard feelings. This was a good pre-screen.

Quote:AndrehAbout replacing those "ers" with "uhs", I purposely sometimes pronounce my words properly. I'm a trendsetter, I'm not gonna say those "uhs" because society thinks it cool. It's the artist that sets the trend, plain and simple. The reason I speak so proper is to rid all the gangster wannabees that lurk the streets thinking they're gangster (didn't say gangsta), but really don't know the meaning of hard work. So I fight them with intelligence. You see what I'm trying to say? It's for all these reason and maybe a million more that I rap.Shavez-If you want to follow your instincts, that's totally cool. But just as many songwriters have to choose between musically following their heart and intentionally writing more commercially, so do rappers who want to be accepted by the masses (which it appears you do).If you want to lead, go for it...but make sure you're "MC"-ing the forest for the trees! André Thanks for the advice Andre. I'll have to put some of these theories into practice next time I'm creating music, and see what kind of a spin it can give me.EDIT: Also, I just reread some of the stuff I said before about wannabee gangsters. I was just trying to say that people should be themselves, and not just an image they see on TV. That's where I was trying to go with it.

Quote:Hey Casey, good song . . . very "atmospheric". Do you think it's odd that we've all picked melancholy ballads? What would a shrink have to say about that?I really like Casey's song too.....very haunting. I loved the old series 'Twin Peaks', and I was thinking that "Blue Moment" could fit into any David Lynch movie or that television series....'course, that's already done, hehe. "Blue Moment" is very gritty and emotional.....good stuff. As far as having songs I'd get one and only one listen on, it's a song I don't have demoed yet....you know, you always fall in love with the last song you wrote.
