It looks like this treatment is fairly new? I know it's hard, but stay positive and hopeful. The mind has so much control over the body.Thoughts are with you... Casey

Walter, from what I've read of your posts, you seem to have a wonderful upbeatness about you....that is what will help you in the days to come. They've made so many new advances in medical science now that really help people....good luck with your interferon treatments. We'll say our continued prayers for you.

Oh Walter, you do make me laugh. I know exactly where you're coming from ... and going probably.Winter of 01, I went to the doctor and said " I can't breathe " "You're too fat", she said and told me to go on a diet. $I didn'tWinter of 01, I went to the doctor and said "I can't breathe." "You're too fat," she said and told me to go on a diet. $I didn't.Winter of 03, I went to the doctor and said, "I can't breathe. I cried. "You're stressed, and depressed," she said, and sent me to a shrink. $$$He sent me to an "outpatient" clinic to get happy. Man were they crazy there. I was happier, but still couldn't breathe. But summer was coming. $$$$$$$$$$$$Winter of 04, I went to the doctor and said..... you knowShe said, you're still too fat, you're a little depressed, and you might have a cold. Sigh. $You know what happened in 05. YepShe finally took an XRAY! "OMG! You have a lung disease!!", she said and pawned me off on a pulmonologist. Tests, CT scans, doctors etc. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Finally a diagnosis. Actually two of them. I can't pronounce either one, neither is curable, or particularly treatable. Now of course they want an open lung biopsy to find out which of these two nasty things I have. Costs major $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and a piece of my lung which I am not happy about turning over. So I say..."And the reason you need to do this is why?" "Because we have to know which it is""Why?" "So we can watch it.""To educate yourselves?" "Well..... I guess you could put it that way."AHA! Now I understand how medicine works. So I went to a shaman. Bet I could make a song out of that

A confirmation yesterday that the Oncologist has decided on Interferon. Wifey and I just want to check on some "reproductive" stuff first. After that, lets get this roller coaster going.

The folks at MD Anderson in Houston really want to get their claws on me. They have the Doc who found that Interferon helped with ECD. Only one problem. It's $14,000 just to get through the front door. Anybody wanna make a donation ? I got some songs for auctioning.....starting price, $14,000. .They would be really thorough, though. Probably a PET scan on top of all the other scans I've already had done. I'm just about ready to get off this roller coaster ride!!
