Not that what he plays on the album is bad by any means. In most cases his lines are perfect for the song. It's just not a very rhythmic bunch of songs though and he ends up mostly playing tuba lines.If I had to choose one, it might be 'Good Morning'.I think George Martin was the most important ingredient in the Beatles by a considerable margin.Interesting point about Macca and Martin.I have often wondered to what extent he would have intervened or advised on basslines.Bottom line (pun intended)we will probably never know.
