A true gentleman.Seriously Casey... what did you achieved with this thread. I mean, really What did we learn That provocation is far from inspiration? Maybe. That the ability to kick oneself in the head is the best way to prove oneself not dead. Plausible and leaning towards Absolute. Nope, something deeper happened here, and the proof was in the pudding. I remember being Sooo inspired that i jumped from my chair... , butt what inspired me? It's on the tip of my tongue. It's so close i can put my finger on it. Oh... there it is... the highest point of inspiration was when everything turned to " cow dung " and Toupee s (don't forget the ee's are pronounced AAAA as in Hey Hay Casey ( i think i did last "e" wrong.)Peace... .RanGThank you O RanG U tang (pronounced Ape) for quoting part of my profound, thought provoking and educational post. You can show your obvious appreciation by an Exaltation using the new and much abused Karma (pronounced Calmer)system.JD, you have put me in a difficult position - atop the stove without pants... and with a decision to make. Should i remain the beloved " RanG " or change my name to " Pronounced Ape "!!!!!! peace,?

Everybody else takes themselves so seriously with their microcosmic dissections of things gs like lyrics which could so easily be described in one word "crap"and here you are atop of your stove without any pants on,now that's a sight to behold I am sure, have you a picture you would like to share with us!!!!However I digress,I a think you must have political leanings because you have managed to avoid the main point of my post which is a Karma please.I have already awarded you several.Well one at least.

I think I will change the title of this thread from "Reviewing lyrics without music" to "Reading posts while not stoned or drunk"... I'm having a much harder time understanding these posts than any lyrics I've ever reviewed. Casey

These ARE the lyrics Casey. And who is to say you are not drunk or stoned? Certainly not I. And I cannot for the life of me, imagine JD doing such a thing. It would provide karmic shock to the entire proboard system.

Although I attempted to "shall we say" give Dobby a sock. You still remain, as you were, in Karma shock -4. Definative proof there is a karma chameleon after all.Pronounced Ape

All I have is a dime. Anybody got 8 cents so I can put my two cents worth in? Yeah, lyrics w/out music are hard to get a lean on. I find that folks try to rewrite stuff that flows well musically for me. I appreciate the input. But, I'm normally looking for how the lyrics speak to folks emotionally. There-in lies the problem. Music sets the mood. Hmm.
I shall wipe every tear from their eyes....

Quote:What is your opinion regarding reviewing lyrics without music? For a long time, I wouldn't do it because I think you have to hear a song in it's entire context. Much is inthe visual clues given by the manner in which it is presented. Some More traditional lyrics have an inbuilt rythym which is easy to pickup on,others such as the one you posted as an example often need visual spacings to give a clue as to the rythym.eg: (Idont know this particular song )You and me Used to be together Every day together alwaaaaaaaays I really feel (That) I'm losing my best friend I can't believe ................This could be the end.If I saw the lyric as originally posted Id pass on it . Thats my 2c worth
