Re: SINGER/SONGWRITER SONGS a la Bob Dylan,
Well, I've not been doing too good at all as far as Taxi is concerned. I re-upped so I guess I'm going to submit a few more times (frugally) if any listings seem appropriate, but I gotta say that this is becoming a downer & not so much fun at all. It's the opposite of inspiring (I need a word for that, anyone got one?).

Hey Devin, Sorry about the popcorn dude!Bob, "deflating" is a pefect word for this process, thanks! I'm lucky right now that there are things going on musically that are "inflating" but the routine of constantly inflating & deflating is wearing me down.

Re: SINGER/SONGWRITER SONGS a la Bob Dylan,
I've taken up meditation. Emotional rollercoasters are so the opposite of healthy, it ain't funny. (I believe that word would be 'unhealthy'). Super glad we're all engaged in yet another thing that's bad for us!Says squids while reaching for another cigarette and having a cup of tea. With whole milk. I'm such a freakin' rebel.

This is supposed to be a family show, remember? But seriously Bill...maybe call up Taxi and ask for a second opinion? I've read about it happening before...and for tunes that were further off the mark, IMO.I vote for a recount.

Re: SINGER/SONGWRITER SONGS a la Bob Dylan,
hey Squids, I misread meditation & thought you said "medication" . . . i was ready to agree completely, I'm all about some medication, don't know much about meditation ( I feel a song coming on).Devin, I did call for an explanation on a couple of returns a few months ago . . . Going through that process seems somehow wrong to me, I can't put my finger on why. It would be nice to have at least an explanation on these. Maybe I'll just decide to become that person that's always calling in to complain about something. Heck, somebody's got to be that person (i'm willing to bet that there is no shortage of folks like that).update; I emailed Erin and ask for clarification on the interpretation of the listing as well as clarification in regards to my returns. I'll post up what she says when I hear back.

Re: SINGER/SONGWRITER SONGS a la Bob Dylan,
I'd like to hear what they have to say for sure. I know with the other example I've read about here, the "returned" verdict was upheld, but the follow on explanation was very helpful. For my personal stuff, the critiques (when part of the submission, sometimes it's just "no") were mostly accurate and very insightful. But your stuff seemed so on target...it could become 'deflating' for guys like me with so far to go to see your stuff come back.

It's pretty deflating for anyone, really. I feel foi ya Devin. Except for the 'far to go' part. You don't have as far ta go as you think.
