LOL!! I'm just not sure how many bales of hay it's gonna take, so if hay gets scarce, maybe the price of beef will come down. At the top of the video it had a next button, so I was curious, and it was wolves on auto-tune,lol!!! I'm not sure if he is really Bubba Ray, but my mom watches Rachel Ray all the time, and it reminded me a little of her show.

Woah, just noticed that spelling!
Guess I was too busy complaining. :D

Well, you know what I meant. ;)

LOL Squids! If that video is from Bubba Ray also, the man is a genius!!! I'm still wondering though why he used used oil instead of new oil, he was either cheap, poor, black showed up better on video, or that it even picked up oil that lost it's viscosity, I'm not sure, lol!

And what surprises me beyond anything is the cluelessness of the responsible parties (BP, Halliburton and there was a third company as well) dealing with this issue and fixing it. It's been going on for over a month and there is still no definite fix in sight. I have seen huge businesses fail before (banks - car makers - and so on). You'd think they have money enough to retain the smartest people in the business to help them stay clear from trouble. But no, it doesn't work that way in big business, does it.

On a going forward basis, we should be thinking *real* hard about alternative energies, and off shore drilling.

Well, sing it brother. Cuz I promise you, things ain't happenin down here like they s'posed to and our air is starting to be suspect. If they blame food poisoning on the entire Gulf edge for their symptoms, I hope all y'all know not to believe 'em, right? Right?

Chemicals can do major damage to people's immune systems. I found this out when we had new carpet installed in my home. I got nosebleeds, asthma, headaches, sinus problems and my throat would swell too. We had to rip the carpet out, and it took me nine months to recover. The culprit turned out to be the formaldehyde that was used to glue together the foam padding pieces. The offgassing fumes of the padding made me really sick...I can imagine what petroleum fumes would do. I can't even pump gas without feeling ill. A small percentage like me will get very sick. Not everyone gets sick, but all those chemicals irritants are bad for anyone's pulmonary health. And 'exposures' for certain people means they will always react to chemical irritants in the future. The only thing you can do is avoid them....there is no cure for it.

I really feel for folks on the coast...I'd probably have to move if I lived there. :) Although I know that's MUCH easier said than done.

Being in Alabama as well and also growing up in Fort Walton Florida and visit the there often, this really ticks me off. I can't believe they didn't already have a plan in place for something like this. This can effect so many people for a long time in so many ways.

So true. I recently had to bring back a computer chair that was making me sick. It was full of toxic chemicals.
