Quote:Any guess what is listed as #2, right above "Imagine"?(if you've read the article, no guessing allowed! lol) I haven't seen the article, but my guess is the Rolling Stones' "Satisfaction." Am I psychic? That's what came into me mind! Ern BTW, Happy New Year Katy & Everyone!

lol Rock While I'm not clear about who did the voting and why theresults are as they are, the article and "Special Edition" issue of Rolling Stone is very interesting because it providesinteresting stories about the writing and producing ofeach song. The stories are illuminating and fascinating.Long Live the Beatles music!

I was just wondering what it might be like in Beatland......as I walk through strawberry fields, I would say hello to Rita, meter maid. My wife and I would sit on Norwegian wood, as we read about Paperbackwriters, yellow submarines, and avoiding the taxman while back in the U.S.S.R. She would say to me "its a long and winding road, I want to hold your hand." as we stroll down Blue Jay way. Help! I cried as a blackbird came whizzing by me Helter Skelter. Elenor Rigsby was playing at the Octopus' Garden yesterday, singing about her day in the life. I took a magical mystery tour with Sgt. Pepper and the lonely hearts club band, and they were telling stories about a man on a hill with a pet named Rocky Raccoon. Something has been bashing ny brain like maxwells silver hammer eight days a week now. Well, here comes the sun, so I'd better close

I missed all of that while I was back in the USSR

Quote:Ern,Would I be right in saying McCartney played drums on 'Dear Prudence'? The reason I ask is that although the drumming overall is fine, the hats sound very stiff. It's as though the part was played by a talented amateur. Just curious. Good ears, mani --- It WAS Paul! I never picked up on that before.Ern
